Miss Tomball 2016 approaching

The Miss Tomball Pageant will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church.

Many contestants from Tomball High School have been working hard to prepare for this annual event, won last year by Julia Gimblet. THS junior Lauren Martorelli is looking forward to seeing everyone all dressed up.

“I practice almost everyday,” Martorelli said. “This week we have definitely been practicing how to walk and how to answer judges’ questions. The day of the pageant, it’s important to keep up with hair and makeup, as well as be on time to everything.”

Although the nerves are beginning to kick in, contestants are excited to perform in the Holiday Parade down Main Street Saturday morning and in the Pageant that night.

“I am really nervous, but I’m also excited because I think it’s going to be a great experience. I am going to pray a lot. I’m looking forward to making friends, and I’m excited that we are all in this together!” junior Julianna Falcone said.
