A wave of enthusiasm has taken Tomball High School by storm. The distinctive red t-shirts are taking to the hallways faster than you can say “Red Nation.”

This group of spirited fans, headed by seniors Eric Ramsey, Mitch Ryland, Jacob Bouquet, Ross Howe, and Matt Mundkowsky, are dedicated to supporting and cheering on Tomball’s athletic teams. “We are not sports biased,” Ramsey said.

Starting out in the student section at volleyball games, Red Nation’s cheers have gained them much attention, praise, and sometimes dirty looks from the other schools. Run entirely by students, the group has fired up the crowds not only at home games, but also on enemy territory. It has become a tradition to start out the matches with their famous “I believe that we will win!” chant.

When asked about how they came up with Red Nation, Ryland responded by saying, “We just felt like we needed to support all the sports teams.”  

The group is constantly growing and welcoming new members.
