This past Saturday was the UIL Area Marching Contest, which consisted of 19 bands along with our very own Tomball Cougar Pride Band.

Being held at Galena Park ISD Stadium, they competed for a spot in Area Finals to have a change of booking a spot at the UIL State Marching Contest.

Performing their show “Outside The Box” went on to finish first place in prelims with two first rankings and one forth ranking from the music judges and a first and second for visual. The band went on to place second in finals, booking spot to compete at the State Contest in San Antonio where they will be playing in the Alamodome on November 4th.

Putting in lots of hard work and countless hours of practice, they now again make Tomball history by going to state three times in a row over the past three cycles in 2015, 2017, and 2019.

They are now looking to compete for a spot in the State Finals and to yet again push harder and make history.
