Even though Spring Break ended a week ago, it’s time to start thinking about finals. Finals week is Monday, May 18, 2026, to Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Some important things to know about finals is that to be able to exempt finals, you must attend all review days, have fewer than 7 absences in that class, must not exceed 10 tardies/late arrivals for the year, have all fees paid, or have more than 2 days of ISS.
Late arrivals or early release senior students need to make arrangements to be on campus during the scheduled exam times.
No final exams will be given early, so if you need to make it up, talk to your teacher about it. The final date for exams is Friday, May 28, 2026 at 8 am. Students who missed an exam with a documented absence will be allowed to take it during May 27-28 with administration. There will be a “0” in the gradebook if the final is not taken by May 21, 2026, but it can be made up on May 28, 2026.
Students cannot leave their testing period early. Students can’t be checked out of an exam period when finished, so their is no interruptions to the exam session. If you have a request for something beyond your control, please contact your Assistant Principal or Ms. Cooley.
Double-blocked classes will take their exam during one specific period that is predetermined by the teacher. Students don’t have to attend the other exam period, but parental permission is needed in order for the student to miss the non-testing exam period.
Students who fail to meet the expectations above may result in grade reductions, multiple exams in one day, summer school requirements for credit, or circumstances that could impact semester grade and course/credit completion.
