OK, so it’s the weekend and you’ve completely forgotten that Monday is Valentine’s Day. Don’t panic! The Cougar Claw has 10 tips to help you get back on top as the world’s most romantic boyfriend or girlfriend.

1)      Go to Wally World.  Walmart has flowers, candy, stuffed animals, cards and everything else you need to make Valentine’s Day special.

2)      Jewelry is nice if the price is right.  A nice necklace or ring is a good present but be careful not to go too gaudy.

3)      Girls, don’t forget that guys like candy too.  But a homemade treat is extra special.

4)      Leave the gift card out, it shows no thought.  Make it personal.

5)      Catch a movie together.  Some romantic movies out right now could include:  Gnomeo and Juliet, and No Strings Attached.

6)      A homemade gift shows you are willing to spend time with them.

7)      Take your sweetheart out to dinner, make it some place romantic, but respect the budget.

8)      Don’t spend too much money; it makes them feel outdone and awkward.  There are plenty of inexpensive options, such as taking a picture together and having it framed. 

9)      Do something surprising (but not embarrassing).

10)  Spend some time together.
