Efforts begin to improve school entry

Efforts begin to improve school entry

Students arriving atTomballHigh Schoolnext fall will be greeted by a more inviting and attractive entrance to the school, made possible by students pitching in to improve the courtyard.

Plans call for trees, benches, and other improvements to the front entrance of the school. To pay for these, Student Council is raising money by allowing students and businesses to purchase engraved bricks that will be used to pave the entryway.

These pavers will remain there permanently so that future students will see who left their mark atTomballHigh School.

A four-inch by eight-inch brick will cost $65, while an eight by eight brick costs $85. You can also get a mini replica of your brick for additional charge. The smaller brick has room for three lines of type, while the larger brick can accommodate four.  Bricks will include the THS logo.

Work on the front of the school will be done in phases, the first coming this summer. Bricks to be used in phase one must be purchased by May 10. These bricks should be in place by the fall.

Anyone can purchase a brick for themselves, a club or organization, or as a gift. Businesses are also welcome to purchase a brick to show support for the school.

Use the order form to order your brick, or go to the front desk of the school. For questions or information, contact Mrs. Dio at 281-357-3220 ext. 2308, or by e-mail at [email protected].
