Addams Family

The Tomball Stage production of Addams Family presents a ‘yin-yang’ dynamic between two families being brought together by their children. The Addams family is as deathly as they come, dressed in fully black clothing and longing for their deaths just around the corner. Meanwhile, the Beneke family is stereotypically normal, with adoration for a white-picket fence and a 9 to 5 job until a reasonable retirement age. As the two families meet they must decide whether they can withstand their differences or crumble to pieces.

Ticket sales begin on Oct 16 for shows on Oct. 26, 27, 28, and 30. Shows begin at 7 and the company will also be presenting a Saturday matinee at 2:30. Tickets will be sold for $15 in advance and $20 on-site. The musical will have one intermission in between and food and drink will be provided before and during intermission.

Halloween

It’s a spooky season, and Halloween is near! As always there are a few precautions to be taken every year:

  • Check all the candy given to you before ingesting (ex: packages with holes, or homemade treats)
  • If at a party, protect drinks and food
  • Go out with a group of friends
  • Have a plan in case of dangerous circumstances
  • Watch the roads when driving

Despite having to take several safety precautions, Halloween is still a fun event for all. This year it will be on a Tuesday, so any students participating should be aware of the time as the next day will be a school day. As trick-or-treating may not be excitable to everyone there are a few other activities for those of an older age range to participate in.

These activities include:

  • Having a spooky movie marathon with friends
  • Decorating the house before Halloween
  •  Handing out candy to kids
  • Carving jack-o-lanterns
  • Going to a parade
  • Having a picnic at a pumpkin patch
