Tomball Soccer is full steam ahead towards the playoffs. The boy’s soccer team is ranked 3rd in the district with a record of 11-3-2 with the girls’ soccer team first in the district with a record of 13-0.
Both girls and boys are facing off against Cy Lakes at 7 p.m., with the girls playing at the Tomball ISD Stadium and the boys playing at Cy-Fair High School.
Both coaches have been preparing for the playoffs by making sure their players are fully ready for their opponent’s next move.
“I think as a team we know we can make a long run as we have proved in our district season, but we just have to execute and lock in, get the results,” Nick Mutalibov said.
The boys have been diligently focusing on key moments in the upcoming game that might change the outcome of their entire season.
“The whole team feels confident. We got the whole team together, so we’re feeling good against Cy Lakes. this Friday. So we’re feeling good,” Andreas Von said.
Meanwhile, the girls are focusing on more of the team bonding aspect going into the playoffs. After an undefeated run through district, they have been working around the clock to ensure that their team is fully prepared for a long playoff run.
“We’ve definitely been practicing a lot,” Katlin Landry said. “We’ve just been improving on the little things, like what we need to work on, and just bonding as an overall team.”
