Catcher Hopkins: Texas A&M, baseball
“ You know, it just felt like home. I mean, I feel like I really trust them and with my career and my college experience, and, you know, I just felt like home and where I wanted to be. If I go to college, goals to win national championship. I mean, all American, and then could draft out of there, but just when and when.”
Gabby McCuistion: Louisiana Tech, volleyball
“I think what made me come here was the team culture and how it was close to home. And that, it’s just a good school to be able to play soccer at for my freshman year and especially for the 4 years. Um, it feels good to sign with all my friends and family, and it’s really exciting. That sounds like a lot of fun.”
Kamren Vann: Drury University, fishing
“My biggest decision was having a college that has a strong education base, but also having a fishing team that I know I can be very successful with and I would say always do your homework on and off the field if you want to say it like that. And always have determination and what you want to do and don’t quit.”
Sarah Pace: Southwestern University, golf
“It feels great. It feels like I’ve accomplished my goals that I’ve been working towards for the past five, 6 years. So it feels great. And my decision to commit to Southwestern was kind of like, I really liked the team. I really liked the coach. I really liked the campus, and the education was really great, so I chose up West. It was good to hear.”
Macey Frank: Blinn Collage, softball
“I felt driven by the Lord. Like, I could just tell by the 2nd I stepped on the campus that it was a place for me and I just love the coaches and the girls, they were very, like, so sweet and welcoming. And I’d say for younger athletes to really just, um, push yourself to be the best you can be, because there’s definitely gonna be, like, hard times, and you’re just gonna have to, like, work through the pain because pain’s only temporary.”
Carson Brown: Hardin Simmons University, football
“I had a couple friends going there and I went on a visit and it was just overall a good college. Just the challenge, trying to get the starting spot, and it’s just going to be fun hanging out with friends, having a good time.”
Abel Quiroz: Hardin Simmons University, football
“Compete for the starting job. Hopefully I win it. If not, sit back and just work my butt off and just see where it goes. And hopefully, at the end of the journey, I’ll be in the NFL. Yeah, that’s the goal. And who has supported you the most on your journey to this moment? My whole family, everyone.”
Heidi Horan: Wheaton College, volleyball
“My coaches and my teammates. Um, what advice would you give to younger athletes hoping to play at this next level? I would say just keep trying. Like, you’re gonna make a lot of mistakes. You’re gonna be doubtful, but just keep going for it.”
Rocco Devita: Murray State, football
“I’m hoping I can come in, start pretty early on, maybe my freshman, hopefully sophomore year. Uh, make an impact pretty quick and then, uh, just, uh, I don’t know, make some all conference and uh, move on from there. And how does it feel to officially sign today? It’s great. I mean, 2 weeks ago, I didn’t really know where I was going, so just knowing that I have a home now is just like such a great feeling. There’s been a lot of years working to get to this point.”
Nico McKinnerney: St Johns Fisher, golf
“I feel like the two people that support me the most were definitely my dad and my swing coach. They were the ones that were there for me the whole time. And like, Tommy basically everything I know. Yeah, yeah. And um, what are you most excited about for this next step? Uh, I think I’m most excited about going to New York. It’s like completely different people, different weather, different areas. like I’m ready for like a whole new change.” Nico McKinnerney said.
Peach Booker: Texas A&M, track
“I would say that I absolutely loved A&M. I love the vibe that I felt. I love the relationships, the coaches have with the athletes, and the overall attention to detail was really important for me. And I just felt like it was somewhere that I could see myself in that future. What are you most excited for as you take this next step? I’m really excited to start my collegiate career and just improve day by day, get to know my, get to know my future teammates and coaches.”
Dayton Navy: Texas A&M West Texas, football
” I say it was the coach’s effort in recruiting me. And like, just the bond we built since like he reached out to me. What, uh, what goals do you have for your college career? I say a starter goal is to maybe do a year or two, do a year or 2 of where I’m at, or maybe head D one, but long term, I say just get drafted, I say, that’s good enough for college to get drafted.”
