Soccer playoff runs come to end in Regional Quarterfinals

Last Tuesday both boys and girls soccer became Area Champions, advancing to the Regional Quarterfinal round of the 6A Region 1 & 2 playoffs.
The boys defeated Aldine 2-1, Senior Ismael Betancourt and Junior Luis Martinez both scored goals with Senior Stephan Lomeli assisting on one.
The girls defeated Willis 3-1, Senior Caroline Fowlkes led all charges with two goals, Sophomore Avery Kelley also scored a goal, and Senior Kendall Hall with two assists.
Headed into the Regional Quarterfinal Round hopes were high for both teams, while they fought hard the season came to an unfortunate end as the girls fell short to Bridgeland in overtime 1-0 and the boys lost 3-0 against Cy Woods.
Despite the loss, the season for both the boys and girls was nothing short of extraordinary, both teams were 15-6A District Champions, Bi-District Champions, and Area Champions. Each team left everything they had left out on the field, forever leaving an imprint on the Tomball Soccer Programs.
