Swim, dive members qualify for Regionals

The Swim & Dive team is moving onto Regionals. Last Friday, Jan. 20, they competed at Klein High School in the District competition. All three divers, three relays, and 10 individuals all placed.

Seniors Emily Everett and Lacey Overman took 2nd and 4th for girls, while freshman Colson Herman took 2nd in boys.

“Diving reminds me of gymnastics so it’s easy train for it,” said Lacey Overmen, “being a senior and making it to regionals, for the first time, is a big goal and I’m so happy.”

The girls relay includes Zoe Hoover, Anna Bream, Mia Holberg, Ava Place, Andy Doumit, and Isabella Auld.

“Working with a team allows me to make relationships,” said Senior Mia Holberg, “we help each other out to make sure we reach our goals.”

The boys relay includes Cole Abril, Joshua Crook, Cooper Norris, Will Hicks, Mateo Nash, Keegan Kouznetsov, Jack Kable, and Luke Sadenwater.

While the individual events are:

  • Anna Bream – 3rd Place 200 IM & 2nd Place 100 Breast
  • Cole Abril  – 4th Place 200 IM & 5th Place 100 Butterfly
  • Ava Place – 4th Place 50 Free
  • Emily Everett – 2nd Place 11 Dive
  • Lacey Overman – 4th Place 11 Dive
  • Colson Herrman – 3rd Place 11 Dive
  • Zoe Hoover – 6th Place 100 Back
  • Joshua Crook –  4th Place 100 Back
