The Cougars defeated Port Neches Groves Friday night to extend their win streak to 3.

The Cougars were victorious for the third game of the season Friday night against Port Neches Groves, with the varsity squad pulling out a 42-25 win.

Although the game started with PNG taking the fist touchdown in the game it wasn’t long until Tomball gained momentum and took the lead all the way from the second quarter to the end.

“Our defense was a little slow at the beginning but once we got into a groove we picked it back up,” said Senior Stevie Roberts, cornerback.

The winning streak is building confidence on the team.

“We know what were capable of and what we’re doing out there,” said Senior defensive end Travis Bates.

The Varsity Coogs hope to extend thier winning streak Thursday night at 7 on the road against Oak Ridge.
