Varsity Football takes on Klein Collins tonight at 7 for a tough matchup against a powerhouse Klein ISD school.

Last week, Tomball took on Klein Forest and came out on top in their first district game at the Klein stadium. The Coogs currently are 4-1, the only loss coming to Tomball Memorial. A win tonight puts the Cougars in great shape for a playoff run through the final three games, making it particularly important.

Collins lost last week in a shutout against Klein Oak, making them 0-1 in district play. Though they’ve had a tough start to their season, the Tigers finished first in their district last year, the only loss coming from Klein Oak.

Regardless, the Coogs are hoping to come out on top against a Klein school for a second week in a row, especially in front of their home crowd.

The band is also performing in costume tonight in recognition of Halloween.

After tonight, the Cougars next play on Thursday, Nov. 5, against Klein Oak  on the road, then are home for their Homecoming game – and the final varsity game at Tomball Stadium – against Klein Cain on Nov. 20 following a bye week. The Cougars final game of the season is on the road against Klein.
