Baseball tournament results

Varsity traveled all the way to Laredo to compete in a tournament.

The first game was against Zapata with the Coogs winning with a final score of 8-6.

In the first inning the Coogs made 6 runs then another 2 during the 5th. Zapata could never catch up only making 2 runs each during the 2nd, 5th, and 6th innings.

Kasen Handal and Chance Miller are the top players of that game with Handal making 2 runs and 3 hits while Miller made the only home run of the game and earned an RBI of 4.

The next game also proved successful. Against Canyon the final score was 4-3. Edinburg proved more difficult for the Coogs, the game ended in a tie. Final score 6-6.

Alexander proved to be the destructive blow that knocked the Coogs out of the tournament with a final score of 10-6.

Today varsity heads off to Lamar to participate in another tournament which starts today and ends Saturday.
