Coogs whip Willis, take 4-0 record to Magnolia

Varsity Football won their first district game of the season, defeating Willis with a final score of 21-14.

Hunter Dunn passed for a pair of touchdowns, to Tybo Taylor and Kendall Gordan.

On each of the three touchdowns, senior Nathan Johnson kicked the extra point.

The win puts football’s overall record at 4-0, and 1-0 in District 20-5A.

Friday’s game is at Magnolia High.

Magnolia is coming off a 62-38 win against Waller to open district play, and is 2-1 on the season, 1-0 in district. Huntsville leads the district with a 2-0 district record, 3-0 overall, after beating Tomball Memorial over the weekend.

The two games after Magnolia are back at Tomball High, against Waller and Brenham.
