A magical run through the playoffs came to an abrupt and surprising end on Friday as the girls varsity soccer team fell 1-0 in the regional semifinals.
Tomball lost to Stratford, a team it had beaten during the regular season. Stratford goal keeper Martha Kuhn has allowed only one goal in the playoffs.
The Lady Cougars had rolled through district undefeated and had been cruising through the playoffs.
