Justin Dvorak passed for 171 yards and a touchdown, and Xavier Powell added a pair of short touchdown runs to give Tomball it’s first win of the season, a 24-14 win against Mayde Creek.
The defense gave up 301 yards but recovered two fumbles and picked off Mayde Creek quarterback Tyler Dickson twice. Chad Brown added a 40-yard field goal for the Cougars.
Dvorak hit Jameson Johnson four times for 56 yards and the touchdown, while Max Baranoske caught four passes for 50 yards. Powell ran 20 times for 76 yards, and Baranoske broke off a 57 yard run.

With the win, Tomball improves to 1-2 on the season.
