Anna Reeves and Katherine McDonald advanced with their breathtaking artwork to the Houston Rodeo. Anna made a painting called, “Into the Light”. She is in 11th grade and her art teacher was Audrey Jennings. Katherine made a colored drawing called, “Spin to Win.” She is in 12th grade and her teacher was Abiodun ljiyera.
After asking Jennings what she thinks about both of their artwork, she says “I think it’s amazing. They definitely deserve to go. Both of them have worked extremely hard for months.”
Jennings also says, “You don’t have to be apart of a art class to submit a piece, you can still compete. There is an annual Rodeo art show in January, not just winners, everyone that competed.”
Anna and Katherine went to auction so they are getting money for their artwork, but won’t know how much for a while.
