Choir entertains at Crust Pizza

Choir+entertains+at+Crust+Pizza

In a display of the talent and community spirit that our choir has, they recently took center stage in a lively performance at Crust Pizza.

Students sang as a choir as well as in duets or as a solo act. Popular songs such as Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” and Laufey’s “From The Start” were performed by participants. Many of the songs resulted in the crowd singing and dancing along.

“Last night was fire! It was so cool,” said one of the participating performers, Canaan Bowles.

The choir’s fundraising concert drew a packed audience eager to give back to their entertainment and a good cause. The donation box was overflowing with green support by the end of the night.

The money raised will go towards fees for upcoming competitions and bettering the choir’s equipment. There are many expensive competitions, and this support means that students who might not be able to otherwise support themselves have an opportunity to participate.

“Thanks everybody for coming out, we hope you enjoyed it. We had a good time. We’re hoping that this  would be something that we do every year. It was a lot of fun, we hope to see you back next year,” said choir director Jason Michaelis.
