One Ken of a Night

Mr. Debonair is a chance for the boys to prove that they’re the man of all men – Ken, of Barbie fame.

The contest consists of going through a process of judging guys’ styles, talents, and attributes. This fun and eventful night will take place on the evening of February 8 at the auditorium. Registration is open now through January 22. But Ken wouldn’t be possible with Barbie, so girls who are interested in assisting a Ken can also register now.

“The guys get to strut their stuff and outfits,” Associate Principal Mark Vierkant said. “But the most enjoyable part is when they show off their talents”

Mr. Debonair has been a tradition for a very long time. Even Principal Chris Scott has competed in it and showed off his skills.

“Mr. Debonair is something you’ll always remember,” Scott said. “There are great memories and lots of laughs.”

Not only do the participants have fun, it’s fun for the audience as well. They get to watch amazing shows and ultimately get to see the crowning of Mr. Debonair.

“Most important is the crowd,” Scott said. “The ability to participate in a senior event and see the audience’s reactions just made my high school experience even that much better.”

Hey Coogs! I’m this years Editor-in-Chief and I am super excited for everyone to see what I have planned for this year, especially when it comes to print. Outside of Newspaper, I’m in the Dental Practicum where I’ll be able to earn my RDA certification. Outside of school as a whole, I like to spend lots of time with my friends and family. Since my senior year is going by fast I like to cherish those moments with everyone I come in contact with at THS. And always Go Coogs!
