Cougar Charms Elite Team rocks Dance Worlds

The Cougar Charms competed at the Cheer America Championships Dance competition this past weekend. At this competition the Elite Team and Officer Line competed, winning many awards as well as a bid to the USASF Dance Worlds.

Competition results:

1st place senior small jazz (officers)

1st place senior small contemporary (officers)

1st place senior large contemporary (elite team)

Grand Champion senior small contemporary (officers)

best technique senior small jazz (officers)

best execution senior large contemporary (elite team)

This bid to the Dance Worlds competition allows this select group of dancers to compete at a worldwide dance competition in the Spring of 2024.

“It’s a great feeling but at the same time it’s terrifying,” said Lucy Shomette, Sophomore. “Competing at worlds will really bring our team to the next level, making district history in the process.”
