Stay safe on Halloween!

Tomorrow is Halloween, and as most know, despite the urge to have fun there are always persistent dangers. Depending on your age there are different precautions to take. Those of high school age should be conscious of parties, drinks, and hazardous driving.

Other risks to look out for and abide by are:

  • Street smarts
  • Check all costume material, face paints, and accessories
  • Protect your drinks when partying
  • Check all pieces of candy given to you and be cautious of open food
  • When walking down the street, keep your phone away and your eyes on your surroundings
  • When with children, make sure they are safe with their food and streets
  •  Protect your pets
  • Carry glowsticks when walking
  • Be alert and sober when driving
  • Use hand sanitizer before eating

Despite the obvious fears that are always present when trick-or-treating, going to parties, driving, and other fun activities, Halloween is always a fun holiday.  As long as you stay safe, it will continue to be enjoyable.
