Drumline takes third place at Thunder in the Hills

Last weekend the TCP Drumline headed off to their first competition of the season at Thunder in the Hills in Dripping Springs.

Performing their entire show they placed third overall in the advanced small category against Brandeis, Georgetown, Rouse, and McCallum High School. As well as winning the best bassline caption award.

“The whole performance I was making sure not to mess up because we’ve worked so hard to get to this point,” said sophomore Mason Hill. “Once the announcements were made the entire bassline got into a group hug from how happy it made us to get that recognition.”

They will have another competition, this time with the full band, on Sept. 30 at the Galena Park Festival. more info to come soon.
