Band is closing out the 2022 year with their winter concert on Thursday night at 7.

Admission is free, and this year’s theme is your choice of ugly sweaters or dress as your favorite holiday character.

This concert is the ending of the marching season and the beginning of concert season, when all the players are divided into three bands – Concert, Symphonic, and Wind Symphony.

Each band will perform three or four classic holiday songs:

  • Concert band: Carol Of The BellsDeir ‘in De, and A Christmas Auld Lang Syne.
  • Symphonic band: Irish Tune On The DerryDeck The Halls Fantasy, and Overture For Winds.
  • Wind Symphony: Red Rock Mountain, The Seal Lullaby, Patapan, and the infamous Sleigh Ride.

There will also be a special performance of “Jingle Bells” from the THS Percussion section.

“The winter concert is one of my favorites because it’s a lot of fun to perform since it eases us into our actual concert season,” said senior Noah Van Lue.

Along with the performance, there will be a bake sale, silent auction, and raffle items provided by the TCP Colorguard. It begins at 6 p.m., an hour before the performance.
