College Knowledge Night to be held this week

The College Knowledge Majors and Minors Night will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

College Knowledge Night is open to all sophomores and juniors and will include various presentations regarding the college application process, options after high school, and information on specific majors.

The following presentations have been confirmed:

  • Texas Public University Admissions
  • Transferring to a 4 year University
  • In State vs. Out of State
  • Liberal Arts College Benefits
  • Writing a Resume and Interviewing
  • Music Majors
  • Education Majors
  • ROTC Scholarships and the Military
  • Cosmetology

Lone Star College, Lone Star Honors College, Chennault Aviation Academy, and Texas State Technical College will also be visiting campus. For Spanish speaking families there will also be a College 101 seminar available. Each family will get the opportunity to attend four presentations of their choosing.

“College Knowledge Night is super beneficial for families who attend and a great way for students to explore their different options after high school,” said College and Career Counselor Emily Nichols. “I highly recommend students attend if they can.”
