Regions auditions were last Friday at Huntsville High School for band members hoping to making it to area.

“It can be very stressful,” junior Katie Johnson said. “You have to perform in front of all the other people who play the same instrument.”

Along with that, the band student also has to sit with a tarp in between them and the judges.

Each band section had to play three scales from memory and a selected cut from three A Tunes in between each scale performance. Only a few of the band students qualified, but those few who did were overjoyed by their victory.

“I got six chair,” junior Hannah Steed said. “And I qualified for state!”

Speaking of auditions, the band was also doing their Spring Band auditions this week Wednesday and Thursday here at the high school.
