Breakfast with Santa: This holiday activity is held December 17th at the IGi Playground in The Woodlands from 10-12 a.m.

Ice Rink: This season, plenty of ice rinks will open. The nearest one to Tomball is the Aerodome Ice Rink at Willow Pl. Drive, where tickets are $8 per person, and skate rentals are $4 per person. There will be public skating sessions all through December at different times. Visit their website for details. Another Ice Rink will be open in The Woodlands until January 16th. Magical Winter Lights Festival: Houston’s Magical Lights Festival is the largest lantern festival in the nation. It consists of massive lanterns that represent world landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, the Sydney Opera House, and the Egyptian Pyramids. Discovery Green Outdoor Art: Discovery green, a 12-acre Houston public park, is open daily from 6 a.m to 11 p.m. Events to enjoy include: The ICE, an ice rink, Firmament, an LED light canopy by Christopher Schardt, and the Enchanted Promenade, a set of giant, colorful peonies by French light studio TILT, other outdoor art displays, kayaks, and a monthly flea market.

The First Noel– A Musical: This musical, directed and choreographed by celebrated artist Patdro Harris, who formerly choreographed the Tony-Award winning play A Raisin in the Sun, will be performed until December 30th at the Ensemble Theater at 33 Main Street Houston. The play is about how members of a community help three generations of a family who have been hit by the loss of a loved one when an “unexpected visit reveals some long-absent Christmas joy”. Downtown Holiday Lamp Post Stroll: The lamp post stroll, a holiday activity for the whole family, is a walk through Old Tomball’s Commerce and Elm Streets, which will be decorated in the Christmas spirit and filled with merchants and eateries.

Christmas on Commerce: As the name implies, this event takes place at Commerce Street in Old Tomball. Games, school choirs, vendors, and Santa Claus will be there to create a pleasant afternoon for visitors. These activities will be available December 10th, 12 p.m-5 p.m.

Zoo Lights: The Houston Zoo’s famous Christmas lights event during which “the zoo is transformed into a Winter Wonderland”, will be available to visit until January 15th.

Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt: This event will take place at Rob Fleming Park in the Woodlands on December 22nd from 6-7:30 p.m. Visitors will receive hot chocolate and presents from Santa Claus. To register for this event (required) visit their website.
