Making a splash into the swimming season

While football and volleyball get most of the attention as they enjoy successful starts to their seasons, there are other teams hard at work training while waiting for their seasons to begin.

The Tomball JV Swim team is headed to their first meet of the season this Friday. They are leaving school early to head over to Pasadena ISD, and “are hoping for a great start to the year,” said Head Swim Coach Brian Vestal. The TCATS Varsity team is planning to participate in their first meet of the year,  at 10 Saturday morning at the Tomball Natatorium.

Swimmers have been preparing for this season by starting training sessions off at 6 a.m. every morning for the past few weeks. “Lots of new faces are in the mix, and with a new assistant coach, I’m excited for the upcoming season,” Vestal said.

The swimmers are eager to showcase what they have been working on, and get a little attention of their own.
