Nation on Petrol
When it comes to high school students, one big factor in their lives is gas prices. For students who pay for their own, they usually rely on a part time job alone and it can get expensive. As of lately, Tomball’s gas prices have been lowering every day (down to $1.50). Compared to the last three years (reaching around $3.80 per gallon), this is a major change.
On the bright side, gas is cheaper. This is wonderful news for students and those who budget themselves. This cheaper gas leaves consumers with a thicker wallet, but leaves the government with sweat dripping down their forehead. There is so much oil drilling going on in America right now that companies are forced to lower the price per gallon in order to not go under.
With the prices dropping dramatically, less money is going into the economy. With each cent dropping off of gas signs every day, the government has something long-term to worry about. But hey, it’ll get you to school.
