The 48th Annual FFA Project Show is coming up on Jan. 24-27. It will be held in a new location at the Tomball Innovation Center in their recently developed Tomball Agricultural Center.
Both the Tomball and Tomball Memorial FFA Chapters will be exhibiting rabbits, broilers, turkeys, steer, lambs, goats and swines for show.
“FFA is such a learning process through trial and hard work so I’m hoping the show will go well,” said senior Emma Cline. “With this being my last year in it, I will definitely miss this experience.”
During the show each day has a schedule to properly showcase the animals with the last day being with the animals that have placed high enough in their species will be auctioned off at Saturday, Jan.27th, after the show to the highest bidder.
Wednesday, Jan. 24
- Special Rodeo – 8 a.m. to Noon
- Ag Mech Show – 1 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 25
- Barn Opens – 7 a.m.
- Rabbit Show – 8:30 a.m.
- Broiler Show – followed after but no earlier than 10 a.m.
- Turkey Show – followed after but no earlier than 11 a.m.
- Steer Show – 2 p.m.
- Barn Close – 5 p.m. or 30 min after Steer Show
Friday, Jan. 26
- Barn Opens – 7 a.m.
- Lamb Show – 8 a.m.
- Goat Show – 30 min following Lambs but no earlier than 10 a.m.
- Swine Show – 30 min following Goat Show but no earlier than 2 p.m.
- Auction Set Up – 5 p.m. or immediatly following Swine show
- Barn Closes – 30 min after auction set up
Saturday, Jan. 27
- Barn Opens – 9 a.m.
- Sale Order Meeting – 9:30 a.m.
- Buckle & Trophy Presentation – 11 a.m.
- Buyers Lunch – 11:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m.
- Live Auction – 2 p.m.
- Livestock Area of Barn closes off to everyone other than TISD FFA Load Out Committee – 30 min after conclusion of live auction
