Want to save lives? Donate blood

HOSA begins sign-ups for annual blood drive

Sign-ups start today and run until Oct. 24 for the fall blood drive.

Each year, HOSA does two blood drives, one in the fall and one in the spring. This blood drive gives people the options to donate blood nd help people in need. Just one blood donation can save three lives.

If you are interested in donating blood, there are a few requirements:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Weigh at least 120 pounds
  • If under the age of eighteen, have parental permission
  • Can NOT be anemic

HOSA will be set up at lunches for anyone who is interested in donating.

” You should take part in the blood drive on Oct. 24th to help benefit your community and save up to three lives,” Senior HOSA member, Victoria Ellent said. “The United Sates currently has a blood shortage and we need all the help we can get.”
