A ‘Shotguns and Spirits’ fundraiser is set for October to raise money for the 2018 Senior Prom.

The Spooky Sporting Clays Tournament is going to be a friendly competition between teams. It will be Saturday, Oct. 21, at 12:30 p.m. and will be hosted at Blackwood Gun Club, located in Conroe. The competition will have 12 shooting stations for you to complete in, 72 clays, and a silent auction.

Shooters must bring their own guns and ammo to the event. Ammo is available to buy at Blackwood and limited gun rentals will be available.

All shooters must also be 14 or older and there must be at least one adult per team.

Ear and eye protection will be required, and participants may only have 7 ½, 8, and 9 gauge only, and no heavier than 1 ⅛ lead.

Prizes will be given to the top two teams, the top two individuals, and to the best costume. People who wear a costume will also get an extra raffle ticket. Wearing cammo or dressing up as a hunter does not count as a costume.
