The Tomball Cougar Charms are welcoming Kelsie Cain to the organization as the new assistant director this year.

Cain graduated from Ellison High School in 2009 where she was a dance officer on the Emeralds Dance Team.  She was also a member of the Orange Pride Dance Team at Sam Houston State University during her college years.

Following her SHSU graduation, Cain became the director of the Killeen High School Kangarettes, which, under her three years of leadership, took home various competition awards and titles.

“My focus for the year is to level up to new technical skills, and just have new goals and be able to reach them, and know mentally that we’re able to do these things,” Cain said.

In addition to becoming the new Cougar Charms assistant director, Cain is currently in her seventh season of teaching at the Dancin’ Bluebonnets Dance Studio where her team earned the 3x 2021 Summit Championship title. She will also be the dance teacher at Tomball Junior High.

“I’m definitely excited about being a part of a team again.” Cain said. “Just having that team comradery and helping the girls figure out that anything’s possible, and when they set their minds to it they can do it.”
