Boys Basketball starting off on a good foot

The Tomball Cougars Varsity Boys Basketball Team has been working very hard to make sure that they start the season off with a bang.

They did lose a few starters from last season but have four returning seniors, Jamal Grey, Luke Hicks, Cullin Johnson and Mitch Michel.

“I really love coaching all four because they are each very invested in our team,” Coach Brad Ball said.

Putting others before themselves, loving each other before anything else, being all equal and taking collective responsibility in the program is the meaning of Cougar Basketball.

“I love my team; we are a family,” D.J. Doakes said.

The intensity level of the team is at an all-time high right now, with the Junior Varsity squad pushing the Varsity to be focused and engaged in order to execute and play well.

As of now, there is no finalized starting five.

“We try to compete for those spots on a daily basis,” Ball said.
