Softball recognizes Seniors, looks back on season

The Tomball Softball team played their final game of the season last Friday. JV lost to TMHS (0-2), and Varsity lost (0-3).

This year, the last game was themed “Kill Cancer,” with both teams making shirts, signs, and boards to advertise the game. Prior to the game’s start, multiple cancer survivors had a chance to throw the first ball of the Varsity game, and players felt honored to play for them.

All the senior softball players were also announced and honored, having their parents walk out with them to the field to be recognized.

The team had a great season, and new head coach, Alicia Pierucci, was extremely dedicated to her team.

“We had a really great coach this year and I think she helped us out a lot and helped the new people in softball,” junior, Katherine Thompson (Varsity), said. “She definitely made a big impact on our team this year.”
