School food is and will be getting better

School food is actually getting better for a change because of the way they’re making the food now.

“Eww, no way, lunch food is disgusting,” Kyle Allison said, before reconsidering. “Oh wait, actually there’s some really good stuff they’re selling. Never mind.”

Lunch has found ways to work within current restrictions and in addition are offering more healthy foods for the kids and giving the kids depending on the age the right amount of food for the day.

Students are getting more fruits and vegetables and whole grains on their cafeteria trays. They also are trying to lower the obesity rate in the United States.

Children are also trying new foods that maybe their parents couldn’t get them to eat. It is also good on the parent’s part because they don’t always have time to pack their kids lunch every day.

More changes might be coming, as a new administration means the federal government may be returning to their old way of doing things in the lunch room. Soda machines, candy and the removal of the food restrictions slapped on the lunch staff are all back on the table.
