New student starts off on a high note

Alexa Chamberlain is a new freshman student to the THS campus and has moved to Tomball from Creek Side. She was enrolled in online school and was privately schooled before she moved here, but now that she is in public school here at THS, she’s got more opportunities to plan her future.

“I think that Tomball has given me a lot of chances to find out what my future has in store for me. I hope to figure out my place in the place.”

Besides, she feels public school is a better fit:

“I didn’t like online school because I wanted to be part of electives to do what I enjoyed,” Chamberlain says.

Chamberlain sees herself being a professional singer in her adult life. She is already writing her own guitar parts, lyrics, tunes, and her own demos. She gets her guitar lessons from David Pigget, a guitar teacher who has his own building for instruction in guitar and music.

“He’s a super brilliant teacher and also a big part in my music career.” Chamberlain says, “he helps me and is like a father to me. I have played guitar with him for five years.”

She believes that she has grown because of his understanding and faith in her. “I record with him and he is so brilliant. I am grateful for all of my support.”

Well, this career has to come from some kind of inspiration right? Chamberlain believes that music for her is a lot like therapy. “I love music because it sends a message of who I am. Music is a reflection of my emotions, and when I write songs I feel relaxed and powerful, expressing my deepest fears, past wonders, stories, and history.”

Chamberlain sees this talent as a passion she wants to go through with to the end. She wants to be able to connect with the human emotions and show others how she feels and how to be true to who they really are.

Chamberlain has written two of her own demos of songs called, “Young,” and “Wait,” as well as a demo with Pigget called “Cry.”
