THS theatre students are gearing up for their first One-Act play Zone contest which is taking place in the Klein Cain High School auditorium, March 9, 2023. The play is titled “By the Bog of Cats”.

A synopsis of One-Act play UIL is that different schools in the area present a 40 minute play which is then ranked by judges and is a deciding factor on whether your school goes to the next contest.

“Our rehearsal schedule is honestly not as bad as I expected, its pretty much everyday from 3-5. Plus we get to miss school to go to workshops. One-Act Play preparation takes time but our rehearsal schedule will change depending on how far we advance because the more we advance the more we practice ” says Sophomore Analia Marquez.

Another way that Tomball Stage is practicing is by attending One-Act play workshops which have been at various High Schools such as Magnolia and Cypress Springs. There is a workshop February 21 at Magnolia High School.
