Annual FFA show to be held
The annual FFA show is just around the corner, where ag students are given the chance to reap the reward of raising livestock.
Senior Megan McAndrew is looking forward to another successful show. Last year, she placed fourth in her class with her lamb and ninth over-all.
“I’m just looking forward to the show and seeing how my lamb does,” said McAndrew, who has been showing lambs since freshman year.
Friday, January 24th is the set day for the rabbit, pig and poultry show. The following day will showcase the lambs and steers. The buyers’ BBQ will take place this day at 3:30 as well as the live auction at five.
The entire show is open to the public, so students are welcome to stop by to see the animals and auction.
Staffers should be aware that the parking lot in front of the ag barn will be taken up by trucks and trailers bringing in animals for the show on those days.
