All Tomball basketball teams faced off against their cross-town rival, Tomball Memorial on Wednesday, Jan. 4. All games were fought hard but none were like the freshman A game. The whole game was close to within 10 points at almost all times throughout the game. With only a few seconds left in the 4th quarter, Jack Pederson scored a put-back off a missed shot to tie the game 83-83.

Going into overtime both teams were exhausted but continued to play their heart out. The Coogs went on to beat Memorial 98-95 in overtime.

Dayton Navy was a key part of Tomball’s offense scoring 25 points. On the other side of the court, Brady Schneider played lockdown aggressive defense and hustled to the ball at all times.

Many people have said that it was the best freshman basketball game they have ever seen.
