The Varsity Cross Country team competed in their district meet on Wednesday. The Boys Varsity team took second, advancing to regionals, and Girls Varsity member Callen Nash also advanced after placing individually.

This is their first district meet in the 6A conference against new teams, and Cross Country successfully proved they can compete on the same level as much larger schools.

The regional meet is in just a few weeks, so the team is working hard to prepare in attempt to advance to state for the second year in a row.

“We’re ready to compete” senior Michael Muckler said. “Hopefully we’ll make it to state.”
