Arguably the most anticipated game of the year, the Patriotic Game, is Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. The Coogs take on our rivals, the Tomball Memorial Wildcats, in a very important game that marks the beginning of district play for the Coogs.

In a larger stadium than ever at Kyle Field, players and performers feel more pressure. This huge stadium allows more people to come and all groups to perform since district Covid-19 guidelines limit how many people can attend football games at the Tomball Stadium.

As the first district game, a win would prove to be a boost in morale for the Coogs as they prepare to play the larger Klein schools in the upcoming weeks. Memorial made it to the playoffs last year after finishing second in their league. The Wildcats will be a tough opponent for the Coogs, especially in this rivalry game where both teams are motivated to win in front of many fans.

Both schools enter the game undefeated on the season.

Organizations such as choir, band, and the drill team from both schools will be performing together as usual for the 40th Annual Patriotic Show. The show might be slightly different this year due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, but the larger stadium allows for the performance to go on.

All tickets are $10/person, plus a small fee, and can be bought here. Parking is $5, and the lots will open at 4:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tomball is on the home side of the stadium, so Lot 62 and the West Campus Garage are the most convenient places to park.

Kyle Field’s policy is that only clear bags are allowed, no non-clear purses or bags, nor large items will be permitted in the stadium.
