Rough end to baseball season

The Cougars’ magical run through the high school baseball playoffs came to end over the weekend.
After winning Game 1 of the regional semifinals against Port Neches Groves on Friday 6-1, the Cougars fell Saturday afternoon 5-1 in Game 2 and 2-0 in Game 3.
The Cougars end the season with a record of 28-12, and were bi-district champs, area champs and regional quarterfinal winners. They reached the Sweet 16 in the playoffs.
Over the past six seasons, the Cougars are 168-53 overall, and have had 27 playoff series and two state tournament appearances including a state championship.
