In the previous tournament which was in late February, the Coogs started off great by defeating Edcouch-Elsa at a final score of 16-3.

At the championship game, however, the Coogs lost to San Antonio Johnson HS with a final score of 4-2.

This put them in 2nd place at the Laredo Olympic tournament, still quite an achievement.
