Volleyball on a roll as playoffs begin
The Tomball Cougar volleyball team defeated the Magnolia Mustangs in what amounted to an intense district championship, earning the 20-5A championship.
They won in four sets with scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-19, and 25-15. The team ended the season with a district record of 12-2.
Faith Allen (12) served strong all game, and was the ace leader of the team with 3. Natalia Munoz (11) was a kill leader with 27, and a dig leader with 19. Brooke Johnson (12) had a great game providing her team with 21 digs and 55 assists.
Also notably, Kendall Glueck got 11 kills with powerhouse hits from the right side.
Overall the team performed extremely well, all coming together and playing their best. The varsity volleyball team sure does know how to step up to a challenge and do what they need to do to win.
“We have great momentum right now from just winning district, so we’re going to carrying that over into playoffs.” McKenna Law, a junior, said. “I believe we’re going to advance farther than we have in the past few years.”
Playoff game information is scheduled to be released soon. Check back at THSCougarClaw.com for more information.
