The Cougars varsity squad took its first loss of the football season on Friday, falling to Foster 42-14. But even in a lopsided defeat, there is reason for optimism.

The Cougars played well at times and had some big plays against a team that is considered one of the best in the state. It’s doubtful the Coogs will face a team this difficult in district play.
