Volleyball runs past MagWest
Varsity Volleyball defeated Magnolia West last Friday in the opener of district play for both teams.
“They played aggressive, they fought hard, and they didn’t let up,” Coach Cheri Wallace said. “Even though they dropped a couple of points they came back and played extremely hard.”
Varsity won 25-19, 25-21, 25-15. Both Freshmen teams won as well, although the JV squad lost.
“Basically we killed it today,” Katelyn Richbourg said,”it was our most consistent game.”
“We were staying positive the whole game,” Brenna Muse added.
Strong fundamentals helped the team roll.
“We did really well at every aspect,” Brooke Johnson said. “We executed really well after the first match and never let them catch up.”
