Cougar sports teams gave us moments to cheer, moments to cry

An eventful semester draws to a close for Tomball athletic programs.
The football season didn’t exactly go as planned but the players did their best to represent their school and to make themselves, their coaches and peers proud.
Westin Shattuck had 32 completions with 499 yards, and also led all rushers with 621 yards. Percy Alford added 454 rushing yards.
The season ended in dramatic fashion with an overtime loss to new rival Tomball Memorial.
Cross country runners posted some impressive individual times, although nobody advanced out of district. They worked hard and ran fast, but now they’re in training for next year’s season to do better.
The volleyball team made its way to the playoffs but was defeated early, and are already back at work to go deeper into the playoffs next year.
