Rivalry game has added meaning
Two rival schools. Same town. Sitting on the visiting side at our own stadium.
As if there wasn’t already enough drama with this game, Tomball and Tomball Memorial have another reason to circle Nov. 8 on their calendars: The game will determine the final playoff spot.
The two teams even each other out with statistics, suggesting the game will be much closer than last year’s blowout win for Tomball.

Winning this game would put the Cougars in the playoffs with the other top three schools; Fort Bend Ridge Point, Houston Stratford, and Fort Bend Marshall. A loss sends Memorial into the playoffs for the first time in the school’s short history.
Last year’s game between Tomball and Tomball Memorial was a blowout, but with this being the first game with both schools having seniors, there is increased tension between the two schools. There is curiousity among the students, parents, and even faculty as to how the players and the two crowds will get along.
Tickets are selling out fast; you can get them at lunch on Thursday and Friday, at the field house all week, or at the game on the home side Friday night.
