Baseball wraps with pair of wins

The Cougars baseball team plays Friday night for the state Class 4A title.
The Cougars baseball team plays Friday night for the state Class 4A title.
The varsity baseball team finished out the regular season this past weekend with a 9-0 district victory over Tomball Memorial on Friday and a 7-3 non-district victory over Santa Fe on Saturday. 

The varsity finished the season with 26 wins and 3 losses, were 13-1 in district and district champions.  Playoffs begin next week.  More information will follow.
The junior varsity finished out the regular season this past weekend as well.  They beat Tomball Memorial 7-1 and then beat Baytown Sterling 13-1.  The squad finished the season with a record of 22-4-1 and were 13-1 in district and district champions.
The varsity has a two year record of 53-13 and the junior varsity has a two year record of 44-8-1.
The sophomore team (mainly freshman) won both of their games this past weekend also.  They beat Tomball Memorial 1-0.  Then they beat Baytown Sterling 3-2.  The sophomore team finished with a district record of 11-3. 
“Thanks for all your support and we hope for continued support in the playoffs,” Coach Doug Rush said.
